Abdullah Bayraktar · BerlinStaff iOS Engineer
I’ve spent 13+ years building iOS apps used by millions, and helping teams ship them with confidence.

About
Architecture that still holds up two years later.
I’m a Staff iOS Engineer at Just Eat Takeaway.com, where I lead iOS development of the Scoober courier app, used by the couriers in JET’s own delivery fleet. I set the iOS platform’s technical roadmap, guide initiatives from discovery to release through RFCs and ADRs, and hire and mentor iOS engineers.
Before that, I built apps across banking, fitness, health and social in Istanbul and Berlin. I studied Computer Engineering at Middle East Technical University.
What I care about: codebases teams enjoy working in, and apps that feel effortless to use.

The iOS Decisions You Can’t Take Back
The one-way doors of iOS development: architecture, data persistence, API contracts, platform decisions and app state. Choices that are easy to make early, hard to undo later, and shape how an app evolves as its codebase, team and user base grow.
